How to put a heart steering wheel cover?

I love steering wheel covers. You can use them as a conversation starter with your fellow drivers, and it’s a great way to add some color to your car’s interior. But there’s one problem: They’re not that easy to install! I’ve tried putting on my own heart-shaped steering wheel cover many times, and every single time I end up with no progress whatsoever after about half an hour of struggling with it. Then one day (after watching several YouTube videos) I figured out the trick: tape! So here are the steps I follow now when attaching my new heart-shaped steering wheel cover:

Step 1. Stand the steering wheel up on its base and place the heart over it to make sure it fits.

Step 1. Stand the steering wheel up on its base and place the heart over it to make sure it fits. If you want to secure the heart to your steering wheel, this is a good time to do so as well.

Step 2. Wrap the heart around the steering wheel, and slide a piece of tape on each “end” of the heart.

  • Wrap the heart around the steering wheel and slide a piece of tape on each “end” of the heart.
  • Wrap another pair of pieces of tape around each end of the heart, and press them into place firmly.

Step 3. Push and lift the tape away from the heart so that it sticks only to itself, not to the cover.

Once you have your heart in place and it’s secure, it’s time to add the tape.

You will first want to use a single piece of tape that is the same color as your wheel cover so that there are no visible lines when it is finished. Start by laying the tape over top of your heart and pressing down firmly to adhere it to itself, but not so much as to stick onto either your steering wheel cover or heart. The goal here is simply for this first piece of tape be securely attached without any loose remnants after removing from its backing paper.

Step 4. Wrap another pair of pieces of tape around each end of the heart, and press them into place firmly.

Carefully remove the backing from one of the pieces of tape and press it firmly over the end of your heart. This will hold it in place, so make sure you get a good grip on it. Repeat with another piece of tape at the other end of your heart, making sure that both ends are secure and not sticking to anything else or any part of your steering wheel cover (or itself).

Step 5. Lift again so that they stick only to themselves, not to the cover.

  • Lift again so that they stick only to themselves, not to the cover.
  • You may need to be careful with your fingers and use some tape if you’re worried about getting them stuck on anything.

If you attach tape correctly you can use tape to hold a bunch of things together

If you attach tape correctly, it can hold a bunch of things together. Tape is not the only way to accomplish this—it’s just one option among many.

However, if you attach tape correctly, then it will hold a bunch of things together. That’s why we’re here today: because attaching tape properly is very important!
